Here are some photos of a squirrel I recently mounted. This is him pinned and ears carded.
With this squirrel I used a Full Flex mannikin body from Van Dyke supply. It is a squirrel climbing down right turn 11 1/4 nose to base of tail measurement and 7 3/4 circumference. 10 mm black eyes. I made my own tail insert and DP only before mounting.
Here is the finished mount on a tree habitat that is actually a squirrel hole. I found this blow down. More fun next time I'll show it from start to finish. Remember Taxidermists all do basically the same thing but most have different ways to end up with the same result. You will have to find what works for you. All I can do is show you what works for me. Jump right in there and start. You will get better with each mount. I would be glad to help with any of your questions.
